Foam Fun Makes Cute Grandma Gifts

Watching grandkids is a lot of fun but it’s best to keep them busy in the process. Busy grandkids are happy grandkids and happy grandkids are definitely gifts for grandma!

Last time I was at Wal-Mart I discovered they had some interesting new foam crafts in stock and I bought some. Yesterday I babysat for my grandsons (ages 5 and 6) and brought the materials along with me.

They loved the little foam sunhats. I brought out the markers and some stickers and turned them loose to decorate them however they wished. Here are the sunhats before we decorated them:

Then I brought out some foam bookmarks. I realized these were a great holiday gift idea for a Mother’s Day gift for their grandma and mom. Again, they used stickers and markers. (I like to use the washable markers. Much easier clean up!) I made sure they put their names on each one so that their great grandmother and mother would know who made each one. I even had enough in the package for them to make some as gifts for this grandma . Here are some of the finished bookmarks:

We had a pleasant time working on them and when we were all done, we had some great gifts for great grandmother and mom that I will take home to wrap up. And here it’s only April! I love it when I’m ahead of schedule. Wasn’t this a fun holiday gift idea! Of course, now I have to make sure I don’t lose them when Mother’s Day rolls around in May.
