Gardens Can be A Grandmas Gift

Not this grandma, though. Unless you are talking about roses, gardenias and camellias. Then I do great! In California! On the East Coast, not so much. But my grandmother! Gardening was definitely that grandmas gift!

If you do also have a gift for gardening, this can be a great way to spend time with your precious little ones, while teaching them a very practical skill. With the direction this economy is headed in, it’s probably one of the best things you can teach them!

If gardening isn’t one of your strong suits, but one of their grandparents who lives close is skilled at it, I would encourage you to ask them to share the necessary time and tips with their grandkids. Make use of their grandma gifts (or grandpa gifts) in this area. If they build a garden together at their house, you’ve given them one of the most precious gifts for grandparents – time with their grandchild. And you will receive a precious gift as well – time for yourself. It’s definitely a win-win-win!

Not only that, but when the garden is in full swing, those grandkiddies will have a blast turning something they’ve helped create into something fun like grandparents gifts or parents gifts!
