Mother’s Day! Wait a minute! What happened to Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter? The year is flying by and it’s already time to think about a special grandma gift to celebrate Mother’s Day with grandma. Here is one of my favorite ideas.
Make arrangements to have family pictures taken with everyone including Grandma. Plan for a wide variety of poses all centered around her:
- The whole group
- Any group of generations, i.e. Grandma, Mom, Daughter, Granddaughter; or Grandma, Dad, Daughter, Grandson; etc.
- Grandma with all her children
- Grandma with all her grandchildren
- Grandma with any and all of her great-grandchildren
- All the females in the family
- All the males in the family with Grandma in the middle
Most of the time when families get together and photos are being taken, the grandkids take center stage, and rightfully so. They are so adorable. But this is Mother’s Day . Think how special she will feel if SHE is center stage for a time. Not only will she enjoy it on the special day, she will get to relive the moments the rest of her life as she enjoys the lovely photos you give her. You might even want to consider making a photo book out of all the pictures. What a family heirloom that will be. She will be blessed, and trust me, you will be too. This is one holiday gift that will definitely keep on giving.
