Traveling with little ones is definitely challenging. However, whether it’s a business trip, vacation, or a fun time at the grandparents, it can be done a bit easier. Here’s a couple of tips to help with that.

If you are traveling with a toddler it’s always nice to take little toys to keep their hands busy. Look for a couple with clips, like those that go onto the sides of cribs or strollers. Clip the toys to your purse or backpack. That way you have them easily accessible in lines, sitting and waiting, or on the plane or train.

If it’s winter and you are traveling with little girls and their not-so-little dolls, have them zip up their dolls up in their jackets. That way they stay warm, have an easy way to carry the dolls, and still have hands free for pulling a carryon. I watched a mom and her daughter both do this on my last train trip. They looked so cute together.

If you are headed for home with gifts for grandparents, don’t wrap them. Put them in the suitcase with the wrapping materials or bags, but save the actual wrapping for your destination. Otherwise, they are likely to get ungently opened when going through security.
